Leeds Rhinos Rugby

Over this past term we have been working closely with staff from Leeds Rhino's rugby team, enjoying some of our PE lessons working with a coach as well as after school and lunchtime clubs. This week sees our last week of working with the Leeds Rhino's and we had a final assembly on Monday. We were very lucky to see the real challenge cup in the flesh! It was huge! Here we are with the trophy!

Maths- Fractions

Recently we have been beginning to develop our understanding of fractions of amounts and numbers. We started off looking at a whole and a half and then moved onto looking at quarters, fifths, sixths and eights. Christmas Decoration Morning

We had such a lovely festive morning in class today decorating the room for Christmas. There were Christmas songs playing, glitter, decorations and Christmas was definitely in the air!!

Trip! To Thackray Medical Museum!

Last Wednesday we all very excitedly set off on our trip to the Thackray Medical Museum. We had such a fantastic day learning all about Florence and her work in the Crimean War, before heading back in time ourselves as porters and nurses, so the Scutari hospital! We also enjoyed the museum and even had time to buy a treat from the gift shop to take home as a souvenir! Here we are all enjoying ourselves.....  Next we we are going to be writing captions and description for some of these photos, see if you can describe to your adult what was happening!!
