PHSE and Circle Time

Each week we have a PHSE session and sometimes we do a circle time to discuss our theme and any topics that are relevant to our class. Our SEAL topic this half term has been New Beginnings so we finished off the topic with a circle time on Monday. We always start circle time with our circle time song and then passing a friendly hug around the circle. We then pass the circle time rock round and discuss whatever it is for that time.

The Magic Box by Kit Wright

This week in literacy we are focusing on poetry and in particular looking at two poems, 'The Magic Box' by Kit Wright and 'I Know Someone' by Michael Rosen.

Look closely at this picture, what is happening as the character is opening the box? What is coming out of it? What will happen next? What would you put in your magic box? Can you follow the pattern of the poem?

Electric Circuits

In science we were investigating electricity and making our own circuits using bulbs, batteries, wires, and then switches too, to see if we could successfully light the bulb. We now have this as one of our investigation challenges in the areas!
